DONKEY/MULE
Donkeys are a domesticated member of the horse family. Donkey’s have been used as a work animal for over 5000 years. A male donkey (ass) is called a jack and a female donkey is called a jenny and a young donkey is called a foal. Donkeys were domesticated around 3000 BC in Egypt or Mesopotamia, then spread throughout the world. They are used around the world til this day.
A mule is the offspring of a male donkey (jack) and a female horse (mare). Mules come in different sizes and strength depending on breeding. They make great work animals to handle heavy work loads.
