NAUSEA

  • Suck on ginger or ginger candy
  • Add fresh lemon to warm ginger tea, sip
  • Add fresh lemon to a glass of water, add 1 teaspoon honey, sip
  • Inhale the essence of lemon
  • Drink Tea: lemon, lemon balm, ginger, peppermint, fennel, green tea
  • Chew on green tea leaves
  • Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda in a cup of warm water, sip
  • Chew on fennel seeds
  • Acupressure
  • Wear wristband for nausea
  • Lay down with head elevated slightly
  • Avoid alcohol
  • Avoid: fatty foods, spicy foods, coffee, caffeine
  • Pepto Bismol
  • Avoid Alka-Seltzer and other aspirin-containing products
  • Apply cold compress on head
  • Maintain your electrolyte balance, drink a sports drink like Gatorade
  • Mix 1 teaspoon honey and 1 teaspoon lemon juice, dip finger into mix and lick it off, so you take it slowly
  • Drink a mixture of 2 teaspoon lime juice, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda and 1 cup water, drink
  • Drink a cup of warm milk and teaspoon of honey
  • Drink a glass of water with 1 teaspoon of grated onion and grated ginger
  • Drink anise tea, or add aniseed to foods
  • Add 1 teaspoon of cinnamon in a glass of warm milk/water
  • Drink clove tea
  • Add 1 teaspoon cumin seeds and a pinch of nutmeg to warm milk or water

NOSEBLEEDS

  • Apply ice or a cold compress will slow down the flow of blood, causing it to clot faster, which will stop the bleeding within a few minutes. Apply an icepack directly to the nose and use it for at least 5 minutes
  • Make a solution with water and baking soda and spray 2 to 3 puffs of it on the nose
  • Keep head elevated at least till the bleeding stops, Lie down with your head propped up on a couple of pillows or sit in a reclining chair, with your head above the rest of your body
  • Dip a small piece of cotton in a bit of white vinegar and plug it into the nostril that is bleeding
  • Inhale steam as much as possible.
  • Diet: red meat, spinach, egg yolks, artichokes, liver, collards, raisins, prunes, clams, oysters, scallops, turkey, chicken giblets, chickpeas, beans, soybean, guavas, parsley, thyme, mustard greens, kale garden cress, gooseberries, kiwis, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli, papayas, tangerines, oranges, lemons, strawberries, canola oil, mayonnaise, turnip greens, parsley, lettuce, endives, spinach, kale, collard greens, beef or pork liver, avocadoes, green onions, Brussels sprouts, cabbage and broccoli
  • Cayenne: Simply add 1 teaspoon of cayenne powder to a cup of warm water and drink it. Soon the nosebleed will stop
  • Those suffering from frequent nosebleeds can take cayenne capsules
  • Cut 1 onion into thick slices, press slice under your nose and inhale the fumes
  • Put a few drops of freshly extracted onion juice in each nostril
  • Add a pinch of salt to ½ cup of water and stir well. Put a few drops of this solution into your nose to moisten the inner lining of the nasal passages, or use a few drops of saline nasal spray available in the market
  • To stop a nosebleed, simply inhale dry and powdered nettle leaves
  • Put a few drops of nettle extract in each nostril
  • Chew some fresh basil leaves thoroughly, to calm the body stop bleeding
  • To prevent nosebleeds during dry months, put a small amount of petroleum jelly on your finger and apply it to the inside of your nose
  • Use a humidifier
  • To prevent nosebleeds, don’t pick or scratch your nose very hard
  • If nosebleed doesn’t stop in 30 min, seek medical attention
