BED WETTING

BEE STINGS
- Apply lavender, tea tree, blue chamomile essential oil directly to sting
- Apply a compress of meat tenderizer and water

- Apply aloe vera gel to sting
- Apply a paste of baking soda and water to the sting
- Apply a paste of baking soda/meat tenderizer/crushed charcoal tablets to sting
- Soak in a warm bath, add 1 cup Epsom salt or sea salts/5 drops of eucalyptus, lavender, tea tree oil or geranium essential oil/ ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
- Mix together 1 teaspoon of each cinnamon/cloves/ginger/lemon and orange peel/sassafras with 1 cup vinegar/steep for a couple days/ store in dark bottle/ apply as needed
BLACK EYE
- Apply ice pack (or frozen peas/corn)

- Apply compress soaked in calendula tincture to eye
- Apply Arnica ointment to control swelling
- Either drink or apply pulp of pineapple and papaya to speed up healing process

BLISTERS
- Keep blister clean and dry
- Apply calendula ointment to blister
- Apply aloe vera gel
- Wear properly fitted shoes
- Apply Vaseline or petroleum jelly on the blister to prevent friction
- Sprinkle some baby powder, baking soda or cornstarch on feet, to avoid getting blisters
- Wash blister with warm salt water
- To soothe the blisters, mix salt with cold water, roll a small towel, dip it in the mixture, apply to blister
- Before touching blister, wash hands with soap and water, to avoid infection
- Loosely apply a bandage or gauze on the blistered area, soak in water to remove if needed
- Apply an antibiotic ointment like Bacitracin, to help heal blister
- Do not use alcohol or iodine on blister, they delay healing
- Apply a cold or warm compress
- Use shoe pads and gloves to avoid friction and rubbing, to avoid getting blisters
- Apply a paste of baking soda and water, cover with bandage
- Dab blister with cotton ball soaked in white vinegar
BODY ODOR
- Bath daily
- Avoid excess perfumes
- Soak in bathtub of tomatoes juices and warm water
- Wear loosely fitted clothing
- Drink a cup a sage tea daily
- Dab underarms with alcohol, white vinegar, raw turnip, witch hazel or white willow bark tea daily
- Avoid: garlic, caffeine, cumin, curry
- Wash with antibacterial soap like: dial, lever
- Apply tea tree oil to armpits
- Use cornstarch or baking soda in underarms and body
- Apply fresh lemon juice to underarms and body parts that sweats
- Soak in warm bath: 1 cup Epsom salt /1 cup baking soda and 10 drops of lavender, peppermint or pine essential oils
- Apply a paste of baking soda and lemon juice to underarms and other body parts that sweat
- Soak in warm bath: 1 cup baking soda and ½ cup lemon juice
- rub apple cider vinegar with cotton ball to underarms, then shower
- Drink a glass of water mixed with 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar and honey, 3 x day
- Cut a lemon in half and rub half to underarms
- Add ½ cup dried rosemary leaves to 4 cups boiling water/steep 10 minutes/then add to your bath.
- Add 10 drops of rosemary essential oil to water, dab to underarms as needed
- Add 5 drops of sage, coriander and lavender essential oils to 2 oz of witch hazel. Mix together and put into spray bottle. Apply as needed
- Soak in bath: two tablespoons of dried sage into boiling water/steep/strain/pour into bath water, add 1 cup tomato juice if you want

BOILS
- Apply warm compress to area, try salt water compress (15-30 min) 4 x day

BREASTFEEDING PROBLEMS
- Apply warm compress to affected breast to assist milk to come out

- Feed baby in a calm relaxing environment
- To break suction, put pinkie finger between corner of the mouth and skin of the nipple
- To produce more milk, drink a glass of non-alcoholic beer a day
- Apply pressure to chest to stimulate milk flow
- Drink fennel tea, to produce more milk
- Apply cold compress to sore breast
- For cracked/ tender nipples, apply Vitamin E oil and massage in
- Drink alfalfa tea daily to stimulate lactation

- Massage almond oil into breast to stimulate the milk producing glands
- Soften/ reduce nipple pain, apply paste of powdered cumin seeds and water
- For breast engorgement, cover breast with green cabbage leaves for 2 hours
- Increase garlic and onion in your diet, to stimulate milk production
BRITTLE NAILS
- Soak nails in a solution of lavender, bay, sandalwood and sesame oil (20min)
- Eat a diet high in fats
- Apply warm coconut oil on each nail and massage in
- Soak nails in a mixture of warm coconut oil and lemon juice for 15 minutes, rinse
- Soak nails in apple cider vinegar and water for 5 minutes, rinse, gently push down cuticles
- Break open Vitamin E capsule, apply oil on nails and massage in
- Rub a solution of Vitamin E oil and tea tree oil onto nails, leave on 30 min, rinse, apply lotion
- Drink a glass of warm water with 2 teaspoons blackstrap molasses daily
- Take Biotin daily
- Eat biotin-rich foods: egg yolks, whole grains, cereals, cauliflower, soybeans, fish, milk, lentils, and bananas
- Wear plastic gloves to protect hands and nails from exposure to chemicals
- Rub petroleum jelly or thick cream onto nails 3 x day
- Avoid using nail lacquers, polishes or adhesives that have harsh chemicals like acetone or formaldehyde
- Avoid artificial nails if you have brittle nails, they can lead to nail fungus
- Avoid alcohol-based hand sanitizers
- Take a break from nail polish occasionally, expose nails to the air

BRONCHITIS
- Stop smoking
- Drink lots of fluids
- Take hot steamy shower
- Sit in a sauna
- Use eucalyptus or pine essential oil in some boiling water, place head under towel and inhale steam
- Run humidifier
- Avoid alcohol, caffeinated drinks and milk products
- Drink Mullen tea daily
- Wash hands regularly
- Vitamin A, Vitamin C, B- Complex
- Mix 1/2 teaspoon ginger, pepper and cloves to 1 cup boiling water/steep/strain/drink, to reduce fever and improve the immunity
- Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric into glass of milk/ drink/ 2 x day
- Infuse spinach leaves in water/ add honey/ Drink daily to loosen phlegm and reduce chest pain
- Drink a glass of orange juice, add 2 teaspoons powdered almonds before bed
- Add 1 teaspoon powder chicory root powder and 1 teaspoon honey in warm water/tea
- Gargle with warm salt water
- Get adequate rest
- Soak in hot bath with Epsom salts and essential oils of your choice
- Yoga
- Get moving 30min a day
BRUISES
- Apply a cream mixed with a few drops St. John Wort tincture to bruise
- Apply an herbal tincture compress. Mix 1 tablespoon of Arnica, Yarrow, and Chamomile/boil/steep/soak cloth/wring out/apply to bruise
- Soak fresh cabbage leaves in warm a few minutes, apply to bruises
- Add few drops of arnica tincture in a cup of water/soak clean cloth/ apply cloth to bruise
- Soak in a warm bath with witch hazel to help blood circulation healing process
- Apply ice/cold compress as soon as possible
- After 24hours, start applying heat/warm compress/heating pad
- Apply a warm compress of comfrey (comfrey/boiling water/steep/strain)
- Apply Arnica ointment
- Apply a solution of vinegar and water
- Apply witch hazel to bruise
- Spread some crushed fresh parsley leaves over bruise, cover
- Rub St John’s wort oil into bruise
- Apply Vitamin K to bruise 2 x day

BURNS
- First step should be to extinguish the fire or remove the cause of the burn
- Place the affected area in cool water
- Apply anesthetic lotion to the burned area to soothe the discomfort and prevent the skin from drying up
- Avoid using ointments as they can retain the heat
- Wrap a gauze bandage around the affected area taking care not to put too much pressure
- Avoid breaking the blisters as this can lead to an infection. If a blister breaks on its own, cleanse area, apply antibiotic cream, cover with clean bandage
- Apply a thin coat of honey to burn, and cover with clean bandage
- Apply thin coat of yogurt to burn, leave 20 minutes, rinse
- Apply a small amount of lavender essential oil directly to the burn, or use a mixture of lavender oil, honey and aloe vera gel
- Apply aloe vera gel to burn, to soothe skin and promote proper healing
- Place piece of onion over burn
- Soak burn in whole milk for 15 minutes
- Apply diluted vinegar
- Apply Vitamin E oil to the affected area, to prevent scarring
- Eat a healthy well balanced diet: include foods high in zinc, Vitamins A, C, E
